September 3, 2015 Trip to Glen Canyon Dam and a quiet day at the campground

Thursday, September 3, 2015 Trip to Glen Canyon Dam and a quiet day at the campground

After I posted yesterday we started having issues with the air conditioning.  This is not good when then the temperatures are in the 90's.  Mike did get it running but he also talked to a technician and it seems to be the Outdoor Blower motor going.  On the recommendation of the tech he stated that if it was him seeing that you have to pull the whole unit out you might want to change a few other things at the same time. So Mike will change out the motor and also the blower wheel, capacitor and bearing. Mike had just mentioned that he was going to do this when the weather cooled off.  I guess the air conditioner had other ideas.  So Mike ordered the parts and they will be here on Friday.  So we decided that we would not go to far from the RV just in case it stopped again.

So I took advantage of us staying home to strip the bed and go to the laundromat here at the campground.  I also made some spaghetti sauce and froze it into portions for Mike and I.  Mike went out of the park to get a decent signal and paid some bills.  When he got back I was grooming Max, getting pretty good at this and then it was Mike's turn to get his hair cut.  Ellen thanks for the lesson I think I learned pretty good.

I finished all this pretty early so we went just down the road a piece to the dam to take some pictures and to walk through the visitor center.  We walked across the bridge and back just to get some kind of a walk in for the day.  You can always learn something at any of the visitors center so we always stop.  Mike is like a sponge and he loves history.
