Sunday, July 19, 2015 Day in the repair shop
Well the day didn’t get any better. The repair shop did all of their testing and
found out that it was the fuel pump. Not
good. The good news is that they can
have the part in that afternoon but don’t think that they will be able to get
it done today and of course we couldn’t stay in it. This means that we will have to pack up all
of the pets and go to a hotel for the night.
Nothing that could have been prevented it was it’s time to go. Spent the night but my youngest cat didn’t
like being out of the only home he has known.
He meowed constantly. Will be
glad when this thing is over.
Happy Birthday, Diane.
Monday, July 20, 2015- Morning in Spokane, WA and travel day
to Yellowstone.
Well, we survived the night and lounged around to around
10am trying not to call the repair shop and bother them with annoying
question. We had breakfast at the hotel
which started the morning out on a good foot.
I had noticed signs that there was a waterfall in the center of the city
so we decided to go and check it out. We
found a shady tree and a parking meter right by the falls at Riverfront Park. We left the 3 cats and bird in the car with
the ac on of course as we walked down a short path to an overlook. Just what we needed we were able to see the
falls and get some pretty good pictures.
We got to the repair shop around 11 am and Mike went to
check on the coach. Hooray the coach was
repaired and all they had to do was to take it for a test drive, pack everyone
in the coach, pay the bill and off we went at about 1230. We are hoping to make it to Walmart in Butte,
MT for the night and then we will just have a few hours to our campground in
West Yellowstone.
Just as we got to
Butte and we were filling up with fuel Mike noticed a whole lot of water pouring
out of the RV. We sprung a leak under the kitchen sink and our
fresh water tank was empty about 70 gallons of water was on our living room and
kitchen floors. We cleaned up the best we could and moved on to the Walmart about 5 miles away where we had planned to spend the night. As we were pulling into
the Walmart we saw a beautiful rainbow hopefully this is a good omen that our
bad days are over at least for a little while.
As soon as we had found a spot we started to clean up all of the
water. What a mess!!!! After about 4 hours we had most of the water
cleaned up and we were ready for bed.
Mike and I were both physically and mentally exhausted but the good news
we will be in Yellowstone tomorrow.
