Sunday, August 16, 2015- Traveling day to Moab, UT and short trip to Arches National Park
We left Salt Lake City area around 830 this morning. We had a 4 hour trip ahead of us. Our plans are to stay in Moab and commute to
Arches and Canyonlands National Parks .
As we traveled we noticed that the mountains were slowly disappearing
and the coand short trip to Arches National Parklor of the rocks were changing to a red, then to a whitish color and
then they were back to the red clay color.
The terrain was getting bigger rocks.
We arrived at our campground at about 130 and the
temperature was already in the 100’s.
Yes we are back to HOT weather.
So Mike and I agreed that if we are going to do any hikes it was going
to be in the early morning and we would be back at the RV before noon. It didn’t take us to long to get setup so we
headed off to Arches National Park.
We drove through much of the park seeing the wonderful
landscapes and nature’s wonderful sculptures.
We came up with a plan for tomorrow’s hikes and headed home.
